I saw this movie being heralded in other movie reviews as possibly the best horror movie of the 21st Century. So I put it on. If this is the best horror movie of the 21st-century, then horror has really taken a downturn…….. It wasn’t even that interesting in the beginning before the monsters appeared, and it became one of the worst movies I’ve ever seen AFTER the monsters appeared. What a great big piece of YUK this thing was. “Waste of time” doesn’t even fully do it justice. And in fact, I didn’t waste all of the time that I spent on it, as I started doing other things, thinking that I’m not missing anything while screams and other ugly sounds went on in the background of what I was doing when I wasn’t even looking at the movie. I made some Top Ramen, I straightened up the living room, I sat down to watch some more of the movie, and I found myself dozing for about 10 minutes during a break in the screaming and other blood curdling noises. And yep…… I don’t feel like I missed a damn thing! I think I got just as much out of this movie as I could have whether I actually watched it or not! I did tune back in for the last five minutes, when the two girls were staring at each other down inside the cave, as I tried to make sense of why THAT was happening. Didn’t really know what that was all about, and didn’t care at that point. Then I watched the one girl claw her way out of the cave, and back onto dry land, while being extremely frantic, jumping in a vehicle and taking off, then stopping halfway off the side of the shoulder when a logging truck passed her blasting its horn—and then she looks over, and suddenly there’s the other girl who was in the cave with her before she left the cave sitting in the passenger seat of the vehicle. And then the movie’s over…….. Uhhh…….Yeah………. I’d ask somebody to explain what the hell that was all about and how it could even happen, but I’m afraid if I did, they’d tell me…….. If there were negative stars that could be assigned in ratings, this movie would have earned such a rating. (Why isn’t there at least a ZERO rating, meaning no gold stars whatsoever? Like this movie, that’s just one more thing that doesn’t make any sense!)

From the time that an 11-year-old boy is accidentally shot and killed on a hunting trip, the movie picks up steam at that point, and becomes somewhat riveting and intriguing. The problem is that the intrigue gradually fizzles and fades away to the point where I had to watch the last half hour of the movie a second time just to make sure that I hadn’t fallen asleep and missed something the first time. Unfortunately, I hadn’t. It really was that dull and boring. Ergo, my rating of 3 out of 5 stars. Judge for yourself……Watch it and see if you agree. (On a sidenote: I did want to poke the woman with the brown hair, though. Also, I guess I’m confused about what movie is actually being reviewed here. I thought it was Calibre, but other people in this thread seem to be reviewing some other movie called Head Count, and talking about some CGI monster that was in the film. There was no such monster in the film called Calibre that I watched.. Weird.)
