To a consumer who feels that the only human emotion that art should provoke is pleasure ,the Joker is too complex for their plain palate. It is quite literally a masterpiece that requires a serious audience.

One gets smarter just reading it, only shortcoming is that it addresses how life for an individual in the West can be best navigated through ,leaving out how individuals in the global south like me (Ethiopia), can deal with a toxic culture ,a corrupt state and an intoxicated mass without falling prey to chaos

Simply outstanding, the depth of the show is even reflected in the season to season scale change of the theme music, as a representation of the multilayered problems that face every human being, addiction,violence ,crime,poverty, beuraucracy, nothing on TV even compares to it
