A masterpiece by Ridley Scott with a soulful music "Now we are free" that gives you goosebumps not to forget the brilliant screenplay by Russell Crowe, Joaquin Phoenix, Connie Nielsen, and Oliver Reed. The storyline moves you as you get to imagine the plight of the Gladiators who were used as entertainment in the Roman era. The climax of the setting free of the Gladiators is very moving. I love the scene of Maximus walking through the fields running his hand on the tall grass as he goes to meet his wife and son. Kind of depicts the picture of how it is in in heaven. Loved the movie.
