Each scene is really well-balanced, with a purposeful tone that works phenomenally in conveying the emotions (kudos to the actors here). This movie is not like some of Netflix's other teen offerings, even though it may speak to the same audience, in that it offers so much more depth. As a kid who immigrated at an early age, it captured so much of my own personal experience and I know that this movie will make so many more feel seen and heard.
