Disturbing story in which Hilary Swank gives an Oscar winning performance. We find ourselves witnessing a train wreck. And yet we are immersed so deep in a commitment to the brutal finale.

Bradley Cooper as John Peters is very watchable. Everyone else in this odd little film is annoying. The scenes last too long. The two main characters are easily forgotten.

Liked it immensely. Terrific performances by Cooper, Blanchett and Mara. Dark and mysterious. Superb cinematography with ominous overtones.

McQueen and Hoffman are superb. Dustin downplays and Steve shines. Sould have been given an Oscar. His rebellious spirit may have prevented awards. "Temptation resisted is a true measure of character" Superb quote

My anticipation for this film was met with complete satisfaction. Viewed it in four consecutive weeks. Discovered something new each time. The splendid soundtrack which was exquisitely cued to the precise moments of visual stimulation worked well. I love QT's revisionism. I walked out of the theater convinced that is the way real events should have occurred!
