He never interrogates or follows through with his questions. He doesn’t listen to the answers he just has a list of questions he wants to get through and runs them off one after the other irrespective of the answers given. We need interviewers who have the intelligence to push the subject to justify answers and to develop an argument not ignore the answers and rush off to another question. Many times I have found the interviewee simply says something fatuous as an answer and he lets them get away with it. I think he is terrible and did a terrible job with the Brexit debate - never pushed for the truth. Never pursued an argument to the bottom line. A terrible shame but the BBC should replace him I feel , we cannot afford to have prominent journalists who don’t do a proper job of pushing for the truth.
