Terribly funny in a delicate and gentle way, I don't find any serious disrespect to village life, but some people might. An example, "bottle gourds aren't great conversation starters" had me in stitches, because the pradhan keeps giving him a gourd for every awkward situation!

I so admire Suriya and Jyothika for making this kind of seri0us film commenting so nakedly on what is happening today. Beautifully done, so as not to be unbearably painful but enough to touch one deeply.

Desperately grim and hard to believe there can be so much prejudiced violence against members of one's own family. Made me sick and was unable to watch most of it.
