I am a hockey player as well as a proud parent of 3 hockey players in minor hockey and a person who has been coaching hockey for the last 8yrs. My Wife and I watch NHL hockey on a very regular basis. Jessica Allen's comments of what a "typical" hockey player or someone who really enjoys hockey are insulting, hurtful, disrespectful and disgusting. I would also so that all the women on that panel appeared to be agreeing with her. Ms. Allen is a bigot and CTV should remove her from their TV programing. There are over 620K kids in minor hockey in Canada, is she suggesting that all of these kids and their families are bullies, not very nice, not thoughtful and that we should spend out money on other activities that she approves of?!?!? Her comments I find were more damaging and hurtful as she painted all people in hockey as a mean and hurtful group. Don Cherry was at least asking people to wear a poppy, not exactly a terrible idea. His words were poorly chosen but the message was one of positive support for our troops an our veterans. Please take this woman off you show - I am no longer watching CTV content if this behavior is encouraged and allowed on your programing.
