I didn't like this book despite all the prices it got, I find it quite boring. We have to wait for more than 100pages before Rufus and Mateo meet, these pages are supposed to introduce the characters but I didn't feel anything for any of them. The author is unable to transmit any kind of feelings, sentiments through his writing.  The next 200 pages are happenings to the main characters but also side characters, a succession of short stories about what they did during their last day. The interesting point is that Mateo and Rufus stories/events are related to the side characters ones, ok that may be a part of originality. But once again, no feeling, no description of Mateao or Rufus' feelings growing, just a succession of events with no sentimental value. The last 100 pages are "the end", at last they acknowledge their love, but what ? Nothing ..  of course they die, stupidly. This book is not moving, nothing thought-provoking, disappointing.  It can be read but be aware that it won't be a moving and riveting book, it isn't at all .. I previously read "What if it's us", that book is better even if I found the ending stupid .You'd better read "The music of what happens", "The gravity of us", "You asked for perfect" or "We contain multitudes", especially the last two.

I really enjoyed reading this book, I've just hated the Epilogue ! What the f.. all this to finish like that. I was really disappointed.
