Let me start by saying that I really enjoyed this film. The storyline was great. When you hear the title "Love and Thunder" you're expecting to see some cheesy love story about Thor and Jane. In my head I wasn't excited to watch something like that when there was no real backstory or scenes between them in previous films (except for Thor and Tony going back and forth about Pepper and Jane in Age of Ultron or "sorry Jane dumped you" in Ragnarok) so I wasn't thrilled to go see it because I'm just not emotionally invested in their love (ahem, Wanda and Vision) but I was pleasantly surprised to see that it was more about a love story about a father and his daughter and a father's whose purpose had become poisoned (I won't give any more spoilers than that) The reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is because I feel some of the humor was silly. The idea of Storm breaker being jealous... The goats... And Thor's lack of seriousness. He was arrogant but could also be serious when needed when he was introduced to the MCU and remained that way until Endgame. There was a perfect balance of humor and focus in Ragnarok and there now is almost this Drax(ish)/Starlord(ish) vibe about him in this movie. But still there were plenty of amazing moments in this film for a SOLID 4 (maybe even 4.5) stars.

I really enjoyed the movie, Will Smith as usual, killed this role. His acting only gets better with age. Martin Lawrence's character however really irritated me, he whined even more than any of the previous movies and he sort of irritated me. Even in the first 2 movies he had some "badass" moments but in this one, not so much. The plot twist was awesome (but I figured it out about 10 minutes before it was revealed lol)
