An outstanding film based on the 14th century Arthurian poem that depicts the overcoming of pride and dishonor. Visually first rate with excellent acting and musical score. One of the best movies I've seen in years!
I especially liked the use of language in the film. The whole story was presented in a surreal format that is necessary for any dramatic presentation from the domain of mythos (truth encapsulated in poetry).
This was an 'art film' so there were no unending martial arts scenes, car chases, explosions etc, etc. No "Masters of the Universe" stuff. Those disappointed with the film just accidentally tuned into the wrong channel and should just turn the knob to find what they resonate with.
