Dilip Kumar was born to do this movie. No Indian hero can ever come closer than Kumar was to the lead actor of Saratji. Everytime one watches Devdas, one gets an entirely different idea of the tragedy king. No one has done death scene better, barring Amitabh in Deewaar and Sholay, ever on silver screen than Dilip Saheb. He became immortal with this.
