This book is a very clear example of how people on social media take no time to verify things they see online. There is a post going around about this book that only shows the page in which the sexual abuse takes place with no context given. People have been quick to condemn this book and the author, assuming that it is normalising sexual abuse and takes a positive stance about pedophilia which is FALSE. It deals with how a child who feels neglected in his home can be very easily become a target for a predator, and furthermore about how this abuse can lead to misguided feelings about sexual orientation. Obviously this is not a bedtime story to read your children but it is an educational tool that in reality has the potential to aid young children in identifying serious issues which they may have been lead to believe is normal. I think that having this book is very important because sexual abuse should be discussed with children in a safe and healthy way because if they are aware of the fact that it is never okay we actually take a predators chance to normalise it away. #SaveOurChildren

One of the greatest TV shows ever! It’s fast paced and not once through 10 hours of watching did I get bored. The characters are exceptional and each one got a backstory that really humanised them. For instance, JJ on the surface seemed erratic and unhinged at times but once we got to see the heart breaking home life he had you really couldn’t help but sympathise with him and see how much his friends were like his family and that he would do anything for them. The antagonists were noteworthy because I hated all of them, which is just a credit to the phenomenal acting to really be convincing and stir up so much anxiety and hatred within the viewers. The storyline was cleverly written, revealing Ward to be the main antagonist was such an excellent twist that resulted in so many intense scenes. My only criticism would be that sometimes it felt like the suspense was a bit cliche (for example when the cop was peering out into the water while John B was hiding underwater.) It was very obvious how that was going to play out which isn’t necessarily a bad thing but they really seemed to be beating that horse a bit at the start until it took a turn and the action ramped up. Overall the acting was top notch all round, the storyline was edgy, and could go from light hearted comic relief to gut wrenching in minutes and still flowed perfectly. The friendship was so authentic and heartwarming. My fingers will remain permanently crossed for a season 2 and if you feel the same REVIEW it! The more positive reception from the audience the more likely we’ll see another season sooner... Now I guess I’m off to start it all over again hehe
