First half was rather disappointing,sloppy performance by Shahid. There is a difference between great acting and overacting, you can see glimpse of later one with Ranveer Singh. Deepika does her best. Movie turns interesting 15 min before interval. 2nd half of the movie is amazing,amazing acting by all of them.amazing fight scenes. Much of the credit should go to background score impeccable taste that mr Bhansali has for music. Now to address much talked about political discussions. History is not always written by people who win. When you look back at the story Padmavat no one appraises Khilji. more and more people who are going to read about him will hate him. Honour- valour sense of righteousness made Rana Rawal rattan Singh and Rani Padmavati immortal. People say it glorifies sati or jauhar. For me it was more of display of right to live your life on your on terms, live free and die staring death .I havev a feeling that in the end even death would have been afraid of ma Padmavati's jauhar.
