As good as TV gets. I grew up in the South, in the 50s/60s, and everything about it rings true (in high contrast to the same producers' cartoonish "Northern Exposure").

Some nice moments, but utterly predictable, and just not that funny. Kasdan seems to be shooting for a combination of black comedy and screwball comedy, and misses badly.
