Maybe I shouldn't be reviewing this as I stopped early in Chapter 2. I loved Chapter 1 and looked forward to the book. Then I got slapped in the face with the fat hate.
The author describes a 10-year-old as a "blot on humanity," and proceeds to describe him as "well into childhood obesity and looking at a diabetic future." (The #1 risk for diabetes is a family history, not weight.) They proceed with the child's having a gap in his "prominent teeth" and looking "like a rubber ball on legs."
Obviously the author finds people who look like me repugnant, so I won't be reading any of their books.
