There are some things I really like about this show. The story is solid and for the most part it’s well executed. But it’s far from perfect. I feel like they cheat. A lot. Like absent landing sequences, the scene fleeing the moon where we don’t get to see the aliens get blown off the shuttle. There are lots of parts where the dialogue is very weak and it makes the actors look weak in their craft. There are missed opportunities when I feel the characters should at least hug after intense or cathartic scenes. Little touches would make us care about them that much more. There are brilliant moments. It may not be perfect. But it’s the Sci Fi show that I needed.
