One of the best documentaries I've seen in years. The music portions alone are worth it, but the way the two artists open themselves up to a raw portrayal of life as an artist, the difficulties of modern marriage, and the battle between dreams and reality are inspiring, challenging, and educational. The triumph of this film is that instead of painting a pretty or click-baiting picture of what stardom and the extremes of an artistic life might be perceived as, it goes several steps deeper and chooses honesty over histrionics; the beautifully mundane over the vivid, and, in doing so, it allows anyone to connect with the struggle of trying to find meaning in a world that can so often seem devoid of it.
