I only write a review when “ critics” are way off on a show/ movie. I’m a very tough critic myself as I don’t seem to be as easily entertained as most. This show is actually pretty good. First get “ The Office” out of your mind. This is based on that fact there is a Cold War with China being played out by our government and there are space forces that world powers have been working on for decades while the world didn’t take notice. So bringing attention to a real subject with just the right humor and tip toeing that line is what makes this show very good. The actors chosen for each role is excellent, especially John Malkovich who’s the star of the show. His performance isn’t getting nearly the credit it deserves. As others have stated , it takes a few episodes to really get going. I was meh for the first 2,3 but then it definitely lived up to expectations. Storyline is good, and Carell still delivers his trademark delivery of comedy. With all the regurgitated garbage on Netflix, it’s refreshing for something this good. Netflix should follow the viewing numbers which completely contradict the critics and renew for season two. If you have doubts look at the ratings by actual people ! At the time of this review it’s a 4.2 out of 5 stars ⭐️-
