This book is genius. It builds up president snow as a loving caring person throughout the book. Yet as a reader we know where he ends up. A tyrannical ruler that used deceit and wit to gain power. As a reader I was torn while reading. I wanted Snow to be happy yet I knew I should hate his guts like I did in the hunger games novels. This turmoil in my mind was finally and cleverly resolved at the very end of the book. I loved it!!
