The writer of the DOC said he doesn't understand why people devolve his message into essentially saying "Apu is politically incorrect" while naming his DOC something as bluntly negative as The PROBLEM with Apu. I agree with Matt Groening in saying that people,specifically this director, are just looking for things to get offended at. I'm sure there are plenty of NEGATIVE Indian stereotypes out there, but Apu wasn't offensive for the sake of being offensive, & this film panders to woke folk who just need to have their jimmies rustled at something before being able to soundly sleep at night.
