It's quite burdensome trying to be the good guy or girl, avoiding trouble and get approval from people. No matter how hard one tries, at some point everything seems to crumble when an incident shatters those ideals one had been holding on to.
Taylor Swift has gone through a lot and this documentary revealed more than most got from the media - one minute she's a star and the next she's just a decorated piece of garbage.
Personally, what I love about this documentary is how she got to show us her growth over the years, finding her true self and speaking for what she believes in. The metamorphosis from the good girl that evaded criticisms of her views on social and political topics to the woman that became undeterred in pushing through with her beliefs through music and political statements, it is admirable and well-depicted in the documentary.
We own our lives and we decide how we want to live it. The environment may not be friendly but we need to find our niche and own that space, marking it out as our territory.
It's an inspiring documentary, especially for those that have big dreams, are pursuing them but are yet to really take control and steer circumstances in order to make those dreams come true.
