I viewed this film on a sunny afternoon in the middle of December. Which seemed a to be the same time of year in the film. It was cool, and windy. So much so, that I thought the theater purposely was left without heat so we could feel the temperature of the film. With Vincent's colors, especially yellows, being the only warmth. The way the film is shot had me feeling nauseous at times. I would close my eyes for 10 seconds at a time but open them to see the colors. A man snoored lightly from the back row of the theater for most of the film. While two older ladies to my right dug into a plastic bag of previously purchased snacks. I too enjoyed copious amounts sugar, which intensified the speed and sound of the scenes. After leaving the theater I thought "I can't believe I endured that whole film, what an experience!"
