The story is so boring and the acting of the main characters are so wooden, the supportings are better (except for Baranski, she's nailed, too bad she didn't got enough character development). Can't stand Louisa Jacobson and Carrie Coon actings, the voice, the eyes and the acting are just not synchronised. Ugh..

Actually I enjoy this kind of psychological thriller but I hate it when the lead character and other protagonist characters are a bit stupid, slow and weak. I love to see the battle of wits, when both the protagonist and antagonist are smart. It's more exciting and less frustrating. To watch this stupid, slow and weak lead character made me want to slap him on the face. I can even predict the story line and how it ended (it's familiar for me, there are some books & dramas with this kind of plot line). Well, the lead character is already a bit psychotic from the very first episode. There's some plot holes & illogical action/reaction. It annoyed me when he didn't tell the police officer that the landlady was lying about the foreign tennant missing since she told a different story to him (that he was killing himself). That's a big deal, dude. Someone's live is at stake. He felt the strangeness in his studio (incl. the landlady) yet he didn't bother to tell the police who already have suspicion. And about the laptop, since he had suspicion that someone broke into his room, why he didn't put a password and keep the laptop in a drawer instead. Another thing that bothered me is why has never occurred to him to get out of the studio amidst all the strangeness? Like, isn't the most important thing in the world is to be able to have a good sleep? He keep questioning the strangeness around him but never thinking about how to get out of it. He can go easily solve the problem in the first 5 episodes if he's a quick thinking. Notes: credit to all actors who played the strange and freak people in this drama, they're convincing and really annoying.. 😅

I had watched the anime and dorama version (Nodame Cantabile), and just finished watching this Korean version. The story line is kind of dragging (also lack of classical piece and the trademark of Nodame Cantabile slapstics 😅). The leading lady is a bit off, lack of comedic timing and so many times she's acting wooden (so boring to watch) and looked like a normal girl when she supposed to be a constant weird girl (I like the Japanese version better, Juri Ueno is the perfect cast) . And how come she lived in an apartment that looks expensive, while she's poor. Joo Won as the lead actor was good. Credit to Park Bo-gum when he was conducting the orchestra, he looks natural (seems like he has experience in conducting before). I think it's no surprise considering his academic and extracurricular background. He's a scene stealer.

I think this is the best Korean drama that I have ever watched. The storyline and dialogues are so relatable and realistic maybe because I had nearly the same age as the kids gang in that period and now have the same age as the parents gang back then, so I am able to watch the drama on various perspectives. I understand all the political, economy, sports, and all the 80s movies, references. I can see my self, my family and my friends in this drama. Even that Sung Bo Ra part reminds me of one of my big sisters who love to bully other people around including our parents. The nostalgic feelings is so real that it hurts in a beautiful way. I have watched this drama umpteenth times and each time it's still entertaining as ever. Special mention to the OST & songs from the 80s. They're so great and on point. Though I'm not a Korean but I still enjoy the 80s Korean songs. I guess all 80s songs have the same vibes everywhere around the world.

You can't argue about the acting, they're good, but the plot and story line are poor (without any brilliant memorable lines). Dragging, boring and predictable. Watching these dramas (and some other Korean dramas) made me wonder how poor are the knowledge of Korean people of the common law. I mean, really, they are doctors that were taught to be logical persons but in these dramas their logic are poor and how come doctors rely on rumors and not looking for the fact. And how Dr. Do became the chairman is beyond thinking. He supposed to be in jail after Season 1, that's if you use your logic. It irritated me how easy they were controlled by Dr. Do and Dr. Park, come on! To see doctors became more evil than mafia made me cringe. All the problems could be easyly to solve if you use your logic and knowledge of the law a bit. The evidence is there but they could not use it wisely... #shakemyhead BTW, the female lead character is so noisy and annoyingly stupid. The verbal statement that she's brilliant was not convincing because after performed something 'good' as a doctor then followed by foolish action and dialogues. On the other hand Dr. Seo character was so convincing, too bad it's not explored good enough.

The writing is poor and amateurish, too many plot holes and unlogical things. Just don't use your brain when you're watching this series, it will hurt you. The depiction of the Korean National Secret Services activity is so poorly written, not smart and lack of research. There are so many unnecessary scenes and the story is dragging. Actually in the beginning I like the leading lady character but then when she became nosey & acting like a smart lady (but not really), it's started to put me off. The kids are adorable tho.
