They take too long to tell the story, I find myself skipping through boring conversations that aren’t really important and i feel like their is a lot of time wasting. The acting is okay, not spectacular but consistent atleast. I’d like some more action ideally

This is the best modern Disney movie! I love that Mulan has a lot of depth and although I have questions about her character, I think the directors have lead me to have the questions on purpose! I am actually glad they left it ambiguous. Don’t judge this movie based on another version of the story, as a stand alone depiction of Mulan it comes into its own, it’s visually stunning and yet pays homage to the original Disney interpretation. Mulan is gifted and unique, she struggles with her identity; as part of this she has a symmetry with one of the antagonists of the movie who is a fantastic addition to the story. Her relationships with other characters are also very interesting. Great direction and I also enjoyed the cultural references and landscape
