I was unimpressed. This biopic failed to tell her story. How do you end in the 70’s for someone who lived until 2018? She was only married twice but the story failed to even mention her marriage to Glynn Turman. It didn’t mention her father being shot but not dying for 5 years which destroyed her 2nd marriage. It didn’t go into a lot of detail on her father at all really; it just portrayed him as controlling but there was a lot more to his story which shaped her story. Again this biopic failed to tell the story of her life and if you’re not going to go in depth and tell her story what’s the point in making a biopic?
