Saw F1 tonight. Worth seeing. Long but did not lag. I thought the story was formulaic but in the end a very good, entertaining and engrossing movie. Racing scenes were fabulous. Shooting and editing off the charts good, should be nominated for an Oscar. Brad Pitt turned in another great performance, as did Javier Bardem. Both excellent actors at the top of their game.

I missed this movie when it was released. And as a former 40 year jourmalist, my review is perhaps biased. I really, really liked this movie. The cast is fabulously full of excellent actors, the energy is unrelenting, and the dialogue is snappy, non-stop perfection. The toll of a life spent in news is grittily detailed. Plus truth prevails. Worth watching!

Worth watching. Not as absurdly funny or cliche ridden as the Princess Bride, but medieval crowds at a jousting match improbably rocking out to Queen and a bunch of other modern hits gave it a run for its money. And if for some godawful reason jousting is your thing, this is your movie. I could attend Renaissance Faires every year for the rest of my life and not see this much jousting. Heath Ledger shines. Amazing that he was only 20. So does the guy who plays Chaucer. It was too long, but I was drinking scotch so I weathered it.

I enjoyed this movie. Solid entertainment! A little bit Bourne, a little bit Bond, with a Gosling and Blunt stamp. Hannah Waddingham in black hair threw me. A bit too long, but worth seeing if you are looking for good ol fashioned blow-em-up fun in the name of Stunt Doubles. I am still vicariously sore from watching Gosling and his stunt guy(s).

Don't waste your life on this self-indulgent, boring, dumb movie. The first 20 minutes last an hour, the first hour for three. Cate B. is oh so talented, but the plot is tortured and the pace is worse than plodding. Maybe I'm just mad I paid 19.99 to see it online. They should have paid me to watch it. Save your $$!

Yes Michael Caine is great but Aubrey Plaza's energy and skill are memorable. She steals more than one scene and at times is more than a match for Caine. Nothing tremendously clever here, just a good story that is thankfully not another stupid superhero movie.

Wish I could get this two hours of my life back. Dumb, unoriginal story and self-indulgent performance by J. Phoenix. Any number of actors could have duplicated his stupid laugh. The violence and homage to anarchy were gratuitous and despicable. Don't waste your time or energy on this dark, pointless movie unless you want to feel bad and go nowhere.

It gets one star for the cast. Zero stars for the plot. It was like a cross between a bad Golden Girls and a worse Hallmark movie. Don't waste your time.
