Honestly, the game has its let downs as do 99.9% of all video games. However, it blends the iconic cube/block landscape and construction properties of Minecraft, and JRPG style of dragon quest. If you ask me, the combat feels like The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the past.
They also threw in a simple but functional survive aspect. The controls are clunky untill you get the hang of it,. Which differs per player. Crafting items and equipment is awkward, but still fairly functional.
All in all, it brings back a feeling from my childhood that fills me with joy, and has a few good subtle adult jokes in that'll make you chuckle. At the same time it's a great game for the kiddo or kiddos in your life. It will keep the both of you entertained for a long while.
I rate Dragon Quest Builders 5 out of 5. It's not every day you find a gem like this.i recommend all survival/crafting game fans give this game a go
