"My Mister" is an exceptional Korean drama. The acting by both the male and female lead was outstanding. The writing and directing were excellent, as was the cinematography. The story is not sentimental; it was an uplifting human drama that did not have to delve in to sordid sexual storylines, and did not have to be pretentious to be gripping. As with some of the best Korean dramas the story was about people trying to live a life of dignity, trying to find themselves and to make their way in the world. The only negative was that the subtitles sometimes missed some English subtleties. But this is a problem that I've seen with many Korean dramas.
