This anime is amazing, it has amazing characters and a complex plot, I won't spoil anything but the ending is an absolute masterpiece, I highly recommend this show. The only issues are Nina and the art style, the rest are nit-picks really.

I honestly think this is one of the better pokemon series, the characters are really great, Dawn is one of the best pokemon characters and her Piplup had alot of personality. I just wish that brock got a little more attention, he only got a big ammount of it near the very end of the show. Ash feels a little more mature and friendly but a part of me still misses his old personality. The battle scenes were great and the gym battles were always somthing to look forward to. Dawns contests were great and she really cared alot about them. She was confident about them at first but became sad and took a short break after cutting it short in a contest. The pokemon that ash had were all really cool and memorable and decently strong. Infernape had a cool back story and torterra felt like a completely diffrent pokemon when it evolved. Overall I really enjoyed this era of pokemon, 8/10

Pretty good, they have a few small differences but overall it is very similar to the anime, watch if you haven't seen death note in a while. They recap episodes 1-25 and 26-37.
