I can't help but to compare it with the movie Fury, starring Brad Pitt. I have a degree in history and WWII is my passion to study. Fury had mostly accurate storyline and film scenes. It was based on a true story. My one part that always makes me cringe is how brad Pitt always carried around Sturmgewehr 44 instead of a Thompson issued rifle. Sure for a suvinier, you hide it away. but getting ammo for a ( new limited & totally different from any otherGerman ammo) as an American would not be practical. So yea , that little thing kept me from giving it a plus star movie.
Now the Russian we all know can't compare or come close to what HollyWood Big Blockbusters pump out. Well this movie makes me want to learn Russian just so I can enjoy it even better? Now I need to watch it again im sure I'll nit pick something because like Fury this also is based on a true story!
The acting in the two films were on par with each other. Yes I'm saying actors who have never acted outside of eastern Europe can really really act!
The cinematographer is on par with fury and at times more stunning. A few close calls with slow motion my make some shake their heads & roll their eyes but I rather enjoyed them.
I have to give T-34 almost a perfect score 4.75 out of 5. That's the same score I gave IFury
