I am a FF Vet and 7 has always been one of my favorites, the storyline is simply the best. I knew since this was a remake something's were gonna change. I gave 3 stars because they have turned it into a button mashing game where the majority of fights can be won simply by mashing attack. The only reason it got 3 stars was because the story is that good and graphics are beautiful. The gameplay is very rudimentary and total time to 100% this game is around 44hrs. I have just beat it less than 30 mins ago only to find out there are like 2 or 3 things I need to do before its 100%. Such as max out materia and 1 or 2 other things I don't want to spoil it for newbs. They took 1 million years creating 1/3 of the original ff7 and sacrificed the turnpage system for gambit as well as removing all the mental aspects of battle and adventure, essentially this game is nothing other than a God Of War which dont get me wrong I love GOW but its not no Final Fantasy. I was scared when I heard about the remake seeing how absolutely horrible ffxv was. I am wondering if the classic rpgs are now extinct and mindless buttonmasher games are replacing them. I am very very very Sad!
