A game that grew on me over the hours of time put into exploring & looting, building a spellcard deck and a lot of shooting. Hard boss fights & bullet hell ambushes, had me quit the game with shaky hands. Even looked at the cheat codes once, but damn satisfying to win after a string of defeats.

Traditional Japanese rice farming was never so much fun as in Sakuna. The 2d exploration, fighting & exploitation makes an interesting contrast with the educational farm chores.

Died so often it was hardly an inconvenience, until I had a build with an amazing line up of powerful wands, spells and perks...so upsetting to die when you have a synergistic build! So many secrets. So much arcane knowledge. Naturally there are setbacks but each run revealed more of this strange parallel universe, and knowing is power. Plus it’s quite fun to blow stuff up!

In the faked world of 'reality' TV this is a little beauty. Naturally things have to be fluffed up for a show, but really this is about dogs, groomers and the dog owners that lavish that extra over the top attention on their fur babes. Great entertainment as well as an insight into the world of the dog obsessed.
