A clumsy film for sure. Full of plot holes and bad choices. But I kept watching. Everything was brewing. Overall, I liked a lot of the film. But damn the plot twist really got me!!! I haven't been that thrown since Arrival. I think the film works because the plot twist forces us to realize her true reality. We didn't know the full story. Definitely wish it would have been better told overall but a story like this really revolves around the twist to disorient us. Some people saw the plot twist coming but not me and I'm glad I let myself be surprised.

Where to begin? This show is beautiful and was highly addictive to watch. A show with real heart. It's a rare kind of rawness. So many great character arcs. Where you hate them, you feel for them. They redeem themselves. Definitely cried a lot in season 4. And a few tears of joy seeing people find their place. Kind of like goosebump joy and always the nervous anxiety meets competitive drive. Just finished season 4. It ended beautifully. Poetic. Bos was such an emotional anchor. Love him. Gordon was strong and a brave and tragic man. And Joe. Oh man. He found himself. And Donna and Cam, what will they build? We don't quite know but we can feel its power already. It had the power of a romantic kiss, but it was a friend/colleage connection.

There were good moments yes. A redeeming ending in some ways. But overall, wow issues with tone. The music did not match. It was too heavy handed. There were some great performances. But I don't know. You can't just break the 4th wall 1.5 hours in to a movie. Pick a tone and stick to it. There were just too many disconnections. Some solid parts. But too many holes and flaws and sour notes. It felt like a kid movie at times. With the music too. Was he going for a Spielberg vibe? Parts just didn't work. I wanted to like it. But overall a trainwreck.
