The histórical accuracy has many flaws and Roosevelt is portrayed as a flat character mooning over the princess. The best scene is between Franklin and his wife Eleanor. The main character is also a flat character portrayed as a rather simpering, spoilt royal who shows little thought for the suffering going on back in Norway as she swans around a mansion in DC. There is no compassionate concern shown even for the fate of the two children of her lady in waiting back in Norway though the parents had left them behind because of their loyalty to her and her husband. Not up to the usual Masterpiece standard.
