As a HUGE fan of all the former BL games & DLCs, BL4 has me BUMMED. The inventory system just plain sucks (it wasn't broken, so why in F fix it). The vending machines, suck. You can't compare what you have equipped with vending items, and so far I haven't even seen a vending machine that opens to a selection! You just go up to the crappy machine and push a button to top off and/or sell your junk items (I am speaking about Ammo machines). Speaking of junk items, looting chests and other boxes just sucks now. It's just a tedious, in vain amount of effort. All you get is crap and it's so hard to even know how good the gun is, or check out the gun stats as intimately as you could in ANY OTHER BL game before! The skill trees are not as colorful, informative or as fun to interact with like the former BL games. This system just sucks. WTF Gearbox, why would you change a perfectly kick ass way of doing things? It's probably because the old guard is gone and now we have what we have in 2025 (God help us). Now I have to earn a new college degree on BL just to be able to play whatever this game is. That with a game that struggles to capture my interest. As for the storyline and characters...BL4 will leave you weeping nostalgic for the characters of all former BL games, especially BL2. It's like having my first reunion with my high school sweetheart only to find she shaved her head, gained 100lbs and now goes by Billy Bob. I miss the good old days of BL!!!

If you are a lover of BIG ARSE open world games like Skyrim, FO4, RDR2, etc., where you can spend enough hours to earn a college degree with all the free range replay fun there is, or where you can follow missions, complete challenges or just screw around experimenting with all the fantastic shyt you can do (like driving, flying or operating a ton of equipment and vehicles), well this little dandy should make you crack-happy! There’s no crafting, or hunting or any ability to improve/upgrade equipment or weapons (which would make this game orgasmic), but I am only a week into the game and there is some complicated aspects about it that I haven’t spent the energy to figure out yet, but even so…there’s so much fun shyt to do with little pressure to do anything you don’t feel like that has made this game experience to be such a wonderful surprise for me (especially since it was a free dL with Xbox Game Pass). 4.761 out of 5 stars for me.
