The plot was a great idea. Genius, even. But it seemed as though the best parts of the film were in the trailer. And what I mean by that was it seemed like a lot of parts were slow and took way too long to get to the point. The romance was also really cliché. A couple of the side characters I found to be more on the annoying side and didn’t add much to the plot. I did like Kate McKinnon as the inconsiderate record producer and couldn’t think of anyone better for that role, and I honestly thought she was the best actor in the movie. The best part for me, though, was when the main character Jack came across the now 78-year old John Lennon, as he would be alive more than likely if he was never famous and his music never existed. It was a really sweet, touching tribute and made me a bit sad upon remembering he was only 40 when he passed away in real life. Overall, the film is pretty decent and it is worth seeing if you are a Beatles fan.
