The absolute worst comic book movie since Green Lantern. Boring, horrid acting, nonsensical, and entirely too long. The script was atrocious, with denouement after denouement, climax after climax, none of which had any real drama. While you have to go into a comic book movie prepared to suspend disbelief, that unspoken contract with the movie is predicated on being presented with something WORTH suspending disbelief for— this wasn’t that by a log shot. At times I literally had to fight not to go to sleep. I would give more specifics, but I’ve already wasted 3 hours too many of my life on this garbage and I won’t give it any more. Save your money and just go watch grass grow.

Honestly, it was just meh. While I appreciated the dynamic of the sisters and the “family” there wasn’t enough time spent on developing the familial chemistry to make it believable. You can see them — all of them — acting, which is a decided disappointment. Perhaps most disappointing: Taskmaster. All most zero time spent developing that character and a significant deviation from canon. I think I was supposed to be sympathetic toward TM but . . . Nope. Nothing there. All in all, a disappointing return to big-bucks cinema after last year’s hiatus. C+ at best.

5 episodes in and it’s a hot mess. Might change as the season continues. More later. Impressions so far: the costumes are utterly horrendous! The dryads look ridiculous, the Nilfgard armor - what the hell is with that? It looks like black rags wrapped around and around. The list goes on. Was expecting more from the special effects - the undead girl (can’t remember what they called her) was atrocious! The dog-boy? OMG! I could do better with Play-Do and a paint brush! And the whirlwind spell while the dog-boy and his betrothed floated up in the air? What was the point in that? And the acting is ... subpar to say the least. Here’s hoping it gets better - and soon.
