I have a number of issues with Good Sam that turn me off. One is the whole character of Sam. She speaks in a childlike, breathy whisper, and chatters way too fast to follow what she is saying. She spends a lot of time defending her decisions and opinions. She has little control over her emotions. I have a lot of trouble believing she is head surgeon. Another issue is that the crew seems to compete in coming up with the most clever, snarky, rapid-fire remarks whenever they are assembled. They are an immature set of characters that would not lat long in a real hospital setting. Yet a third issue is the childish interaction/competition among Sam, her father, and her mother. Finally, the action switches too quickly between personal issues among the characters to sudden emergencies. The storyline is jerky with little transition between scenes. This show is more like a soap opera than a medical show. I have removed it from my must-see list after only 7 episodes.
