There is nothing Indian about the movie. The students do not look like or behave like students. The name is Gurukul but there is no academic aura. The dialogues of Amitabh Bachchan and Shahrukh Khan are delivered in whispers and are drowned in the loud background music. The aim of an educational institute is not to preach love but to give knowledge.
