I enjoyed it. I didn't realize how much hate it had until after I had finished it, and while I do agree that DiTF definitely could have used some improvement, I think the hate it has is blown way out of proportion. Yes, the last few episodes were very rushed and were trying to create a complex plot on a show that revolved around characters. Some of the characters were one dimensional, but I fell in love with the ones that weren't. Some people find the almost sexual aspects rather disturbing, but I don't find them nearly enough of a problem to ruin the show. I've also seen hate on a few characters for being selfish when it comes to caring about others, and all I can say to that is that they are ignorant teenagers who have LITERALLY been taught nothing about love, feelings, sex, etc. and are once again teenagers who don't realize the impact of their actions. As for why the show was good: the animation and art were beautiful IMO, I found most of the characters to be realistic and relatable, and I also loved the disturbing portrayal of the dystopian society. Not the greatest show, but I still liked it enough to the point where the blatant hate annoys me. I'd recommend!
