So, I've been playing this game again for a few days now. I played it when it first came out a long time ago, when there was practically nothing to do. Since then they've updated it and came out with new cooler stuff. So, I thought I'd give it a shot and play with a couple of friends. We had fun, looted up tons of cannonballs, foods, supplies. Got TONS of loot. Spent about 5 hours getting things ready and our inventory good enough to take on a ghost ship. Then some dumb player comes and destroys all of our stuff in the blink of an eye with seemingly no effort while we were doing a quest on an island figuring out a riddle. So now we're 5 or so hours deep into the game with nothing to show for it because everything we looted is now gone and we're back down to barebones starting over. The last QUARTER OF THE DAY has now gone to waste because some troll wanted to blow us up and not even take he loot, because he didn't even have a ship near us he just swam over to our island. We though "might as well try again, I mean it is the name of the game right?" So we keep playing for a couple more hours and get stocked up on supplies once again. Get some quests done, got some nice loot. Ready to turn it in after we finish something on this last island we're on. But, low and behold, same player from before comes and seemingly effortlessly blows up our ship along with someone we've made an alliance with ship. Now after about an hour more maybe 2 and sharing loot with the other player, all of our time and effort we spend on this game has gone to waste yet again. So what is the point of playing a game that doesn't reward you for playing it? It actually punishes you for playing as an adventurer and not as a troll. I would not recommend this game to anyone at all until they create a PVE only setting where other players can't come and destroy you're stuff and waste you're entire day because you're out questing. But if all you want to do is swim to someone else's ship and blow there stuff up for no reason then this might be the game for you. Though, it has no reward. 0/10. If I could do less than 1 start I would.
