The show was ok, but I am disappointed at the significant deviation from the books, particularly as it relates to the portrayal of Amy, who is very different in the book. I fail to understand why the books were deemed to be unadaptable to a movie. Certainly unadaptable to a single movie, but I anticipated it would take 4 movies to adapt the story, which I believe could have become one of the most popular movie series ever.
