Sarah Paulson continues to hold her own and do an excellent job acting. But overall the movie is pretty much a failure. The whole movie is chopped up and the character development was n't as good as I would have expected. The storyline just didn't catch me on any level. I watched it because I love Sarah Paulson and I love the stories out of the dust bowl era. But this movie missed its mark and it's it ended up being a waste of my time.

All three of us wished we could take those 2 and 1/2 hours back in our life! What a waste of money and time. And what a waste of great actors! It was a stupid movie with no plot, very forced humor, and so predictable! Such a letdown. I'd skip this one and if you must see it, wait for it to stream for free.

This is a great satire on books, authors, publishers, critics and the white America! It's funny, smart and well acted! It will definitely make some white people uncomfortable and that's what I love about this movie. It's dark humor is appreciated by this white woman!

I so wanted to love this movie! The actors, the scenery and the subject have so much potential. They tried way too hard to make this a dark artsey theater type movie and failed ultimately in their attempt. The music was so contrived and bad for this movie. I had to look it up. Just to find out it is an old score from a 1971 slasher movie. I was also very disappointed in the acting in this movie and surprised that the stars they hired to act in it agreed to it. If they were trying to make a very strange and uncomfortable movie with a pace that never seemed right, well they succeeded.

Acting was great! But I had little sympathy for ma or the other characters. I was annoyed through most of the movie.. I appreciate the core of the plot,but I did not enjoy it at all.

By far one of the best written and acted shows I've ever seen on the pioneer experience and the harsh realities that come with being a pioneer. This is a place where not all white men are good or bad nor the Native Americans. The strong spirit our ancestors had to be a pioneer and stake a claim in the birthing USA is incredible!

This is not a dime a dozen Hollywood movie, cookie cutter style. I appreciated the quirky humor, dark comedy and original style of this movie. I was throughly entertained and say it was a great movie! But, that just my opinion. I like off the beaten path type of flicks with dark undertones. It's deeper than it looks.

It's exactly what I expected. A funny, silly no brainer of a flick! Kevin and Mark are a good team and I found myself laughing. It's not meant to be an Oscar movie! Just lighthearted fun.

Very confusing and uncomfortable movie about their life in a week span. I didn't feel any chemistry between characters and did not like the movie being interrupted multiple times with fake future characters! I'm a big fan of Lucille Ball. But This movie was was just disappointing.
