I was tempted to give only 1 star, but decided to give George Clooney a break. I understand the concept of "artistic license", but parts of this movie were nonsense. How is it that the place available to save humanity is a "previously undiscovered moon of Jupiter"? We've detected planets around distant stars, but missed that moon? For years, I've seen big tracked, enclosed vehicles being used at both poles in both the movies and actual life, but in this movie, the best that's available is a snowmobile. One of the crew realizes she's been hit by a meteoroid when she sees a drop of blood floating around in her helmet notwithstanding a gapping hole in her side. Only 2 people (at least they're a man and a woman) are going off into the solar system to restart humanity. Good science fiction has some semblance pf plausibility. The scenes of the damage to the space ship from meteors, reminded me of the destruction of the space shuttle in "Gravity", the movie with Sandra Bullock and guess who...George Clooney. George must have been bored when he decided to spend a few minutes planning this movie. After writing this, I'm tempted to change to 1 star.
