Random Daydreamer

This show is criminally underrated. It's a show that's easy to relax to, it's peaceful and charming. It's definitely reminiscent of shows like Adventure Time and Steven Universe but it still manages to have many unique aspects and a fresh feel. I really wish this show got more recognition. It's really disappointing to see poorly written and uninspired shows get so much attention while shows like Bee and Puppycat go unrecognized. Definitely worth a watch.

Don't get me wrong, there's a lot of things I love about this show. I love the concept, there's a few fairly smart written scenes and a main character that's really easy to root for. It has a lot of really hilarious moments and some parts really had me invested, however it still has a lot of flaws that were really hard for me to overlook. A lot of scenes attempt to make themselves appear smart but fall flat when you realize how a lot of them either rely on defying logic, a really large coincidence, or an opposing character doing something stupid and irrational. Not to mention the ending was kind of a let down. I was getting really bored watching the final few episodes and I think the main reason for that is that everything the show had done up until the finale made the show so predictable that I could see where the finale was going about 4 whole episodes before the final episode. I would explain further but I don't want to spoil anything because despite me not enjoying it too much I know a lot of people really enjoy this show and I accept that. Some of the characters really fell flat, they were unrealistically stupid and a lot of the time character's actions didn't even feel like they were doing it for any other reason other than to further the plot. Not to mention the show really loves to sexualize female characters at every given chance, now I could probably forgive the show for sexualizing women so much if those women actually felt like real people and were good representations of women, but they're not, almost all female characters in this show are bland, flat and constantly objectified, which I find disgusting. But I guess, at the end of the day the show isn't all bad, it's definitely enjoyable and the main character is definitely likable to me. But overall I still didn't like it, a lot of scenes were extremely boring, almost none of the characters had any real depth to them, it sexualized women every chance it got, and it just wasn't as smart as it thought it was.

Might very well be the greatest tv show of all time, if not the greatest piece of media of all time. BoJack Horseman is pretty much a perfect show. Honestly this show helped me through a tough time in my life, it spoke to me, the show feels personal. All the characters feel like real people and it's concepts and ideas are ones that you wouldn't find in any other show. It tackles a lot of serious and dark topics and doesn't turn it into a joke, it potrays mental illness to the best of it's ability. If I could rate this show any higher I would.
