I take everything I said back the game is awesome. The yakuza reddit suggested I try the PC version since it allows to disable DOF and blur and it was absolutely worth the xbox subscription upgrade. Thank you so much, the game is amazing! (it would be real awesome if the option to turn of the effects were available on xbox as well through...) Old 1 star review "I am a big fan of the series and was really happy to hear about the Xbox release of Kiwami 2 but god the design is horrible. Yakuza 0 and Kiwami 1 looked and felt way better game wise than this cinematic "burn your eyes out with color contrast" BS. After playing for around 200 hours in 0 and Kiwami 1 it saddens me that the inability to turn off blur was what made me quit the game after 30 minutes of game play, I felt physically sick while running through the city (the effect is not present in first person photo mode and it looks way better, why isn't an option to turn off blur available for 3rd person view?)
