Preachy. Somewhat disappointing for someone coming from Angamaly Diaries. It's not a lighthearted movie.

The narration and the recreation of historical events is what I liked most. Very nearly packaged, very BBC. I really liked it. But clearly the man is a leftist and repeatedly takes digs against European and Christian culture while treading very softly on Islam. Shame. There is a depiction of a Bible being thrown to the ground, there is a very flattering depiction of the very first Azaan (Islamic call to prayer). Absolutely no mention of Islamist terror over the ages and the invasions are merely mentioned as the spread of Islam ("not spread, it exploded" he says smiling).
