Unfortunately, Apple turned a piece of classic sci-fi, into some mediocre space opera. Other than character and planetary names, this show bares very little resemblance to Isaac's books. By around episode 5, I had come to the conclusion, that the story shown, was a long way from my memory of the books (it had been a couple of decades since I last read them), so picked up the books and re-read the first 3 again. I found the books far more interesting than the series, and have yet to watch the last 4 episodes, and doubt that I will . . .
