I am only giving two stars for Reese Witherspoon and Mark Ruffalo's presence in this movie. Oh man, the number of cliches that made me want to cringe are so many. I am going to give credit to the plot. The fact that a dead person can only be seen by one person and them trying to figure out their life before dying. Cool. But I think I would've liked if they showed a light to prove that there is more life than just work none not being falling in love with Mark Ruffalo. I hated the way Mark's character fell in love with Reese's character so fast. Some of the dialogues were just atrocious and there was just no feel to the movie.

To understand the movie to a deeper depth, I would suggest you to read the book first. But the movie did do a good job in bringing the book to life. I cried when I finished the book. I also cried when the movie ended. And that just kind of shows how much of an impact the book does on you. Kristen Stewart really did bring Melinda to life. Being depressed, having a dark sense of humour where most of the times is just staring at a long distance with an impassive look on your face is really hard to pull but she did. You do not see such movies anymore. One where the location is simple and mellow but the story is so thought provoking such that by the end of the movie you immediately realise what the movie was trying to tell you. It is amazing. I loved it.

I genuinely liked this film. There were no cheesy dialogues or the main character professing his love for the other character. It didn't have a lot of cliches. The one thing that I didn't like was how much they dragged the story. Like I had no idea where the movie was going until like 75% of it was over. The aesthetics were pretty cool, the characters are complex than you think they are. All in all, it's a perfect movie for the weekend. Enjoy!

It was amazing. Every part of it was just...I can't even put to words with how amazing. It was everything if you get what I mean. The way the emotion was carried through the actors especially the father-son duo played by Steve Carrel and Timothee Chalamet was so heart breaking. I loved how they immersed themselves into the characters and just made it their own. Just hats off to Steve Carrel and Timothee Chalamet and to the entire cast and crew who told a story that not only tells about the story of a boy who got addicted to drugs and a father who is trying to figure out how to help him but raise awareness about drug addiction. It was just absolutely brilliant. I would definitely recommend it by a 1000%.

It is really dry. I'm going to say that. But that's the same way I felt when I watched the first episode of The Office. The reason why I can compare both of them is because despite being dry, it is raw. The love, the friendship, the relationship, the growth during time. And after seeing so many chick flicks and rom coms, seeing something so raw was comforting. There is drama no doubt about that but it wasn't sudden or too fast. I felt the actors really dived into the roles, no scene was too cliche or fancy. It was perfect. I would definitely recommend it.
